Sheoak (Casuarina fraserana) is a medium-sized hardwood occurring in the jarrah forests of south-west
Western Australia. When sawn on the quarter Sheoak's prominent rays produce a wonderful pattern. Given the rather small size of these trees longer and wider boards are highly valued and sought after. Furthermore, Sheoak is one of the most stable native Australian species and therefore suitable for a large number of furniture applications.
